Especially convenient for adjusting flight settings to specific values.
This Programmer works together with the FM 9 series of timers and is required to program these timers. There are several advantages to using this Programmer and the FM 9 timer, as opposed to using the stand-alone FM 1 timer, including : 1) If you have several planes, the FM 9 timers are cheaper ( but you also have a one time expense of the Programmer you must buy for the FM 9 timers ) 2) You can program all your flight settings in the FM 9 timer to highly specific values e.g. flight duration can be set to exactly 3 minutes 30 seconds 3) You can select a range of E.S.C's including some that have a governed mode. I have not gone into this yet and am currently using a fairly typical E.S.C. ( Hobbywing Platinum Pro 40 A ). I believe a wide range of E.S.C.'s are compatible. I find the greatest benefit is being able to set the FM 9 timer values - Delay time, Flight time, Power setting, Compensating Factor ( motor power advance during flight to offset falling battery voltage )- to very specific, repeatable and highly accurate values. The Programmer is extremely easy to use and takes maybe a minute to program the FM 9 timer values. A definite step up in sophistication in electric control line flying. Highly recommended.
