Silkspan, lite
Easy to apply, shrank ok. Painted with two coats of dope. Lightly sanded. Then painted with" Squirts" from Bunnings. Didn't come out well, finish glossy where it covered the wood ,dull and thin colour on open areas. This material is OK but paint technique needs attention. I have bought some more, since.

Brodak Tissue = Bloody Nice Mate !
Having used K&S silkspan pretty much all my 45+ years of balsa building etc, I needed something to replace my exhausted stocks, I took a chance on the Brodak Light and Medium tissue to try it out, I was definitely not disappointed, the light stuff conforms really well and takes up the dope extremely well, the Medium weight, I would call SGM, is much heavier and stronger, extremely tough, and with a couple of coats of polyurethane finish, it becomes flexible and very resilient to puncture from hard grass etc, I use the light stuff for solid surfaces and the medium for open structures.
